Ok so appreciate some of you may not have the bands required but all they are really are an extension of many body weight or dumbbell exercises you can do but for me they add flexibility and range of movement.

Here’s part 1 of a selection of leg and chest exercises you can do with a band!

3 sets of each ➡️ seated abduction and adduction. Sit close to a fixed upright and attach the band low. Depending on which leg you are working first, affix the band round the calf of one leg.
If it’s the meaty leg to the upright, then sit further away from it and squeeze leg towards the other leg. This works adductors. Change to the outside leg, sit closer and then move that leg away from the other. Repeat both sides and aim for 10-12 reps per leg per side.
➡️ single leg low pulls. This is to isolate each gluteal muscle. It requires a good sense of balance. Hold band in one hand and stand on the opposite leg. As you pull the band back, raise the knee on the non standing leg. Slower the better! Repeat for 10-12 reps and on each side.
➡️ push ups- use strong band around upper back and use some slack of band in between your hands. The resistance you will feel will be on the upward phase of this push up so on the ‘push’ in other words. Again reps 10-15.
➡️ chest flys - a familiar one now - attach band higher up on a fixed upright as shown,
Feet about hip width apart and wide and sow squeezing movements inwardly until
Hands almost meet, then slowly back out to start position. Reps 10-15.

Last 2 days of workouts were legs and chest, did a lot of volume sticking with the basics. Squats and Bench presses.
Who knew that doing alot of volume work can give you a great cardio workout. My lunges were burning throughout. But I rather do these types of workouts vs traditional cardio like running on a treadmill or bike. Back at it later today for an intense back session, maybe a little basketball as well.

Superset back squats(215) 7x5 and chest(flat bench 60lb DB) 7x10. I hear people all the time ask what diet are you on, keto, atkins etc. I tell them all the time drop the idea of a diet and focus on clean eating and hitting the gym 5-6 days a week. It’s amazing how many fad diets there are out there that people will try and follow. Don’t over complicate things and kill it in the gym.
