Working on a different way to train my oversplit in middlesplit. Normally I would sit straight up, with my toes pointing upwards and with several blocks underneath my heals. But its easy for the bum to move in that position. I find that this “new” position (for me), is stretching much more on the inside off the thighs and it feels really good🥰 Lovely and Flexy Tuesday to all❤️

Try this arm workout for which you only need your body and the floor 😄 I would suggest 3-5 sets with 1.5-2 min rest in between because it is going to burn 😅🔥 You can do anywhere from 10-20 reps, modify according to how you feel ✌🏾Give it a go and let me know how it went 👍🏼

🖤 Push-ups: Tap your chest to the floor, make sure that there isn’t any breaking in your line from head to booty. 🖤 Bottom push-up hold: Hold at the bottom of push-up position. Make sure your chest hovers a few centimeters off the ground. Stay there for 10 to 20 seconds.
🖤 Wave push-ups: This is a mobility move for your spine whilst strengthening your arms. Curl your spine while you go forward & down and arch your spine when you press up.

운동을 참 재미나게 잘 했는데, 영상엔 왜일케 어설프고 힘들어 뵈지??? 동작마저 정말 소극적으로 보이네, 난 정말 신나게  땀 대박 흘리며 했는데. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 
뭐, 나만 재미있었음 됐지뭐. 
오늘은 다리찢기도 플랭크도 영상으로 찍어봤다. 
중간에 TA 언니가 머리서기 할때 찍힌 영상. 
멍~한 표정이 너무 웃겨서 올려본다. 내가 저런 표정으로 감상하고 있구나. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 근데, 아령은 왜 들고 난리래. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 
4월이다. 
더 열심히 & 부지런히 운동해보자.

Yoga taught me how to be with myself. For a long time, I couldn't be alone. I spent my time with my friends, my family. Even though I loved those moments, I now know that behind all the parties until 8am, every weekend at my parents' house, the evenings studying with friends and not alone lies the fact that I couldn't be alone. The slightest image of being alone with my thoughts was inconceivable. 
But yoga taught me to be with myself, to face that little voice in my head all the time, my thoughts, my fears. And better still, it taught me to observe them, to accept them, to control them. I no longer feel alone when I am only with myself, I feel good. I appreciate those moments when I find myself, when I take stock of myself, when I can observe how I really feel. 
I have found peace and serenity when I thought these totally unknown words about my life. I found control but also letting go. And it is a process, I will continue to grow with my practice.

WANT TO BE MORE FLEXIBLE? -

When it comes to stretching you want to work at a level that you can still breathe and smile through. Although you may feel forced to push it as hard as you can, there’s no need to force a stretch, if anything it’s counterintuitive. Take your time without forcing your body to submission. -

A good way to relax into the stretch is by breathing. Inhale deeply then exhale like your fogging up a mirror and relax into the stretch. You’ll feel instantly lighter and gain some range in the stretch if you let yourself relax. -

There are many methods to stretch, so keep it simple. Think of positions you want to be better in rather than the muscles you want to be more flexible. Choose a couple positions and explore those by moving in and out in various ways. -

GMB Trainer Eduardo @eorihuela demonstrates some stretches that can help you with the Splits and Bridge using our stretching formula. In our Focused Flexibility program, we offer the magic sauce to increase flexibility and mobility fast. -

Here’s the magic sauce 👉 Perform the following for 3 rounds: 10 contractions followed by a hold of 15-45 seconds.  Modify each exercise as you need to perform the stretch at a level you’re comfortable with. Remember to smile! -

These have been some of my favorites recently!
Middle splits are a lot different that front splits - #samakonasana vs #hanumanasana - because front splits can be somewhat easy to passively sink into while middle splits require more #activeflexibility to really be able to access them.

You need the quads and side butt engaged and WORKING for you throughout your middle splits, so try to really keep that activation throughout the ENTIRETY of these drills.
.
I've still got a little bit to go, but my middle splits have greatly improved 💪😝 since I started thinking about using my own bootay 🍑 strength to go deeper into them, as opposed to before when I would occasionally (and very passively) just put my legs up the wall and look at my phone while hoping to go deeper in my middle split. 🙅😅

3. Houd je rug recht net zoals bij een normale squat.
4. Houd de pose onderin 2 sec vast en wissel vervolgens van been (dynamische stretch).

Preparei e preparei esse cantinho pra mim pra aproveitar ele ao máximo esse ano porque não aguentava mais treinar em casa e sonhava com um espaço próprio que não precisasse afastar o sofá ou que tivesse qualquer coisa me distraindo durante os treinos. E onde estamos? Em casa, pela belíssima ironia do destino, afastando o sofá todo dia pra poder treinar.
Não precisava de quarentena não pra sentir falta. Eu já saia todo dia de lá com saudade.

The last thing i want to do in my yoga practice is to compare with others. But that’s often the first thing I tend to do. Seeing awesome pictures of others doing awesome poses makes me want to tell myself, I just want to be like that! It’s not literally comparing my practice with others,but tend to look at others progress as part of valuing my own progress. And that gets frustrated. So? Stop doing that! 😂😂😂😂 Stay focus! Endurance! Consistency! And it will come one day ❤️

I’ve been honestly neglecting to stretch for the past few months due to the cold weather in Korea. ⁣

With cold temperature, I just didn’t feel like stretching at all. But now that the weather warmed up, it’s finally time to stretch again and gain back my flexibility 😻⁣

MIDDLESPLIT - hablemos del cuerpo y la mente, del baile y la mente.

Mis piernas siempre han tenido una fuerza increíble, y mi cuerpo tiende a hacer músculo de una manera más sencilla. Mas no resulta lo mismo con la flexibilidad. Me cuesta y me "duele", y ello me asusta y me pone tensa.
Este tiempo de cuarentena, creo, está sirviendo y actuando de mil maneras diferentes. Entre una de ellas, como escribí en uno de mis post anteriores, el conocerse a sí mismos, conectar con aquello que habíamos dejado para después o aquello que simplemente temíamos y le habíamos puesto un letrero de "Se prohíbe el ingreso". Y, desde nuestras casas, actuar.
La respiración es algo que hacemos desde el momento en el que nacemos, pero con el paso del tiempo le dejamos de prestar atención porque se vuelve automática. Es decir, uno no piensa si está respirando o no en un día común y corriente, uno solo hace lo que debe hacer: levantarse, ducharse, cambiarse, alimentarse, salir a trabajar, salir a estudiar, y así. ¿Qué pasa si nos concentramos en inhalar y exhalar, solo en eso, por unos segundos o minutos? ¿Cambia algo en nuestro cuerpo? ¿Cambia algo en nuestra mente?
La medicina occidental dice que la misma anatomía imposibilita la flexibilidad en ciertos tipos de cuerpos. Yo creo que la mente y el cuerpo están unidos, y tu cuerpo se comportará en la medida en que tu mente le diga qué hacer y visceversa. Lo estudió Freud, lo estudió Laban, lo estudió Carl Jung, lo estudió Alfred Adler, lo dijo Marian Chace.

29 March 2020 My first post of the year : It appears that the new normal will be staying at home as much as possible to avoid public places and contact with too many people. I was home 7 days. The 2 gyms I attended made changes. FF totally stopped and TF is now one class per day.

. “Remain calm and boost our immune systems” So finally I went for 1hr #bodypump and a quick #yogaselfpractice on flexibility video since I was almost alone. Then straight home. Feeling tired & sweaty but I felt great (My calves now can touch my ears 👂more easily than before) .

I have a feeling I better treasure my 1 class while still there .. 😉

29 March 2020 My first post of the year : It appears that the new normal will be staying at home as much as possible to avoid public places and contact with too many people. I was home 7 days. The 2 gyms I attended made changes. Really starting to articulate my back in this position. No more pain. It’s like it’s my normal bend now. Thank the Lord up above, I never thought I’d get to this point. No injuries but boy it’s been intense and I have a high threshold for pain. There were so many times I just wanted to stop and give up because it was just too much. But I’m an old stubborn bitch and giving up isn’t my style. So, mm by mm, cm by cm and inch by inch I’ve made my way to the 5th rung and soon my head will be laying on my bum. Lots of little work now to deepen this bend and I’m not going to tell you where the bend is coming from because you got to figure it out for yourself or hire a coach who knows what the hell they are doing. This is not something you can self teach. I did it, but only took me about 2 years and lots of trial and error. More errors...
