@JimBethell @CNWLNHS Oi, Jim. That phone you sold me the other day. There's something up with it - if I get it fixed, the repair shop aren't going to find anything dodgy stored on it, are they?
@neillcameron @markbradleyart So refreshing that it's getting easier to find comics that are actually written for kids.
Tuning stations into a FM clock radio for the first time in years. This is something I didn't realise that I've missed.
@Elizabethutch Just read this (and will re-read!). Is a discussion needed about how - when info source is the agent - it is designed purposefully to elicit an emotional response, making impartial evaluation difficult (especially when evaluation is a social rather than solitary activity)?
@DarrenSimpson44 @Usborne @childrensbkshop @Dauntbooks @alligatorsmouth Absolutely - just finished a self-publishing collaboration. I found that rejection letters are much less demoralising when there's even just one other person who appreciates what you're doing!
@DarrenSimpson44 @Usborne @childrensbkshop @Dauntbooks @alligatorsmouth Well done for keeping at it. I keep pushing back my 'I'll give up by...' date, but it gets heavier each time. It's been 2 years since I was told "Keep drawing, but no one will ever want to buy your work." (that was post Undiscovered Voices).
@JolyonMaugham Scrumping for plums is fine. It's when you start scrumping for skeletons in a churchyard that it gets complicated.
@Richbrown99 @PeterStefanovi2 @BBCNews I left a viable alternative to Boris in the toilet this morning.
@PeterStefanovi2 Well, we're a banana republic, but at least those bananas are the correct shape! That'll show those SJWs!
@Kwia35 15 themes is a considerable amount of work. Another example of how some people devalue research and book knowledge.

@nckhnsn @themissusP @ChristabelCoops Better and easier to learn analytical skills via learning research skills in a properly resourced school library.
@ColeHeartedGirl @PulpLibrarian Ever since 24/7 kids TV became a thing, suddenly kids books had to start looking like TV show characters - originally it was the other way around.
@ThatTimWalker We deserve the hell this country has become. Perhaps in a few years the majority will feel motivated to work to fix it.
@ColeHeartedGirl @PulpLibrarian I'm not the only children's librarian who is absolutely sick of the generic saccharin churn from publishers these days :(
@PulpLibrarian Why the absolute fuck is there nothing like this for kids these days. Everything now is just flat colour and big heads, like some post-Nickelodeon wasteland.
RT @ByDonkeys: Hey @sainsburys @Halfords_uk @comparemkt_care @Now @KelloggsUKI and @TNLUK. You advertise on GBNews. Are you okay paying Nig…
@DapsDraws Just because people are making up stories about cuddly wuddly rabbits with inclusive undertones, it doesn't mean they're not able to behave like utter twats. The kid's book publishing industry is just as fully of BS and underhand tactics as any other.
